Wahoot! The Wii shop channel has a cool software update for the Wii that gives gamers the ability to use an external keyboard to type on. Initially only USB keyboards are supported. Hopefully a Wifi keyboard could emerge direct from Nintendo or another quality after market provider e.g. 4gamers.
Nintendo state the keyboard is for Everybody Votes and the Internet Channel. The Internet channel is highly recommended worthy of five pounds easily. The Everybody Votes channel has question like – “Do you remember what you eat for tea on Friday?” Huh who cares, enough said it is free download! The Internet channel on the other hand lets you surf the Web using your Wii on ADSL.
To summarise you will need internet access to keep your Wii system up to date and to get the best experience from playing on your Wii
