CoD WAW was always destined to return to WWII. Fans like to relate to real world battles some times and I guess the same goes for the Treyarch. In CoD world at war one the best missions is Vendetta, a sniper campaign mainly with sneaking, and sniping and escaping from a building on fire in time. Two allies assist in the mission to provide a better story line, which isn’t great but the action more than makes up for the plot.

One disappointment is the game is fairly short-lived. Expect to finish the game in around 6 hours if your familiar with COD 4.

Call of Duty 5 was scrubbed from the title because this was an interim release. Playing CoD WaW often leaves us wanting to play CoD 4 afterwards, perhaps the modern warfare weaponry of the twenty 21 century makes blasting the smithereens out of building more fun? But for the sure the online Xbox 360 CoD 4 modern warfare is by far a superior game.
