Category Archives: Free Website Link

Everyday people ask me to link to their NEW website so I decided to spend an hour and write some useful help on starting up your own website. Google is a very powerful search engine, it can do math sums, spell check, provide local weather information and news with one or two search terms in just 1-click. The world-wide-web is definitely a better a place thanks to Google. Now here is the point I’m trying to make.

Part 1: You’ve got your new website, you’ve spent months developing King Content, but nobody comes to visit and nobody is linking to your content. You hear mystical tales of enlightenment such as keywords and SEO and Google penalties, sandbox theory. In short, all of these features could be the cause. The thing is you don’t know and you can’t ask for certainty. Everyone has their own theory. When it’s a well known fact – Google changes the result to baffle and keep SEOs guessing. seobook.com.

Part 2: So you’ve now got tired of waiting. You’ve finished your perfect web site, you have even taken down the under construction sign, which in all honesty “nobody has noticed” either and decide to use PPC. You probably have a good level of business acumen and know for a fact your venture will run at a loss for the first 12-36 months due to overheads, advertising, staff and a whole lot of other outgoings start ups needs.

Part 3: Your advertising budget outweighs your profit 5-1. On a scale the ROI for your campaigns suck. You are spending thousands on top keywords. “Cheap Car Insurance” at £10 per click, yet very few people are buying your Car Insurance. You could outsource your keyword marketing because now you’re spending 12-hours per-day going through the site analytics and good keywords, regions or you can just give more to Google.com for more expensive keywords.

Part 4: You’re hooked. A gambler addict. Your venture is mirroring your own tendency to gamble: RED, BLACK, Higher, Lower? You’ve blown your monthly budget in three days, but you can’t stop, that person just might come back to Google and expect to find your site and if its not you loose a sale, so you… continue. Just another hundred, another hundred, and another hundred. Then if you’re smart you’ll admit something else must be wrong. So you stop PPC advertising in the belief that all your visitors will miss your great content and you’re site must be out of the Google nine-month probationary period; but no. It had no affect. Nobody has noticed your site disappeared. Nobody has linked to you, and hey guess what! Right where your ads were are now somebody else’s NEW site doing the same as you did!

Part 5: Everyone has the new killer website idea. The reason your site sucks is because the site in the SERP below and above it offer the same. Don’t be downhearted. Many of my friends make the mistake of trying to compete with eBay.com and Amazon.com, when they could be benefiting from them. Use these platforms to sell your stuff. These retailers have millions of customers coming to them without having to pay Google on a per visit basis.

Part 6: The candle is out. Your love for Google.com is over. Another notch in the bed post for Google, another mans big debt to repay.

Part 7: Google makes a fortune from newbies two fold. PPC also raises the bidding price for existing players. You’re new site needs a massive amount of Technical, Editorial and Data work, just to keep it running. You learned (only if you’re smart) that you needed to do the same tasks costing the same on overheads as you would in the Real World for your venture to operate successfully. You learnt the hard way.

Part 8: Obtaining links is a dirty business thwart with primary and secondary risks. The primary risk; I’ve been infected with viruses trying to post my site link and excerpt. A wiley coder figured the best way to deter competitors is to run a virus script when you accept to run an active script to submit you site link to that mega resource that your competitors features on, your BIOS will die. Your Anti-Virus software didn’t even notice.

Part 9: Secondary risks: Your site has links from and relating to XXX Porn. Someone was paid to bowl your site over with bad links from link farm proxies.

Part 10: And now you come to the conclusion the Internet is not such a nice place to make it big after all.

Rationale: I am writing this article for all the people who will get to know me in the future. My certainty is their next though is “I can do that easy” then copy my ways and seek out a link here. Hey guess what – you’ve been found out! Along comes another person and the cycle begins again. Save your time, your soul, your sanity and your dough.
